Types of cutting tools
There are several types of cutting tools are available, In this article, we discussed types of saws in the cutting tools
Saw
It is used to the cutting of timber to size and cutting excess material to obtain the desired shape. These saw having a handle and a thin blade with sharp teeth. Commonly the blade is made up of tool steel. and the handle made up of wood
Some important Saws
Rip saw
It is mainly used for cutting the wood along the grains. normally ripsaw 700-800mm long and it has 3-5 teeth per 25 mm length. this rip saw not suitable for cutting across the grains. A rip saw made up of high carbon steel(HSS).
the angle of the rip saw 60 degrees.
Crosscut saw
It is also similar to a ripsaw in shape. but it is used for cutting the wood across the grains. These crosscut saw teeth are consist of knife shape teeth. the saw cut is called the 'kerf'.the length of the saw is nearly 600mm. The saw teeth maybe 4 or 5 teeth per inch

Pannel saw
It is similar to a cross-cut saw but the blade is finer. This saw length nearly 50cm. and 10 teeth per inch.
Note:
This saw carry either rip or cross-cut type teeth it depends upon the requirement
Tenon saw.
This saw was only used to cut small and thin cuts. The blade of this saw is very thinned so that's why it is very stuffed with a back steel strip. This saw another name also called backsaw. This saw cuts very accurately.
Dovetail saw
It is like a tenon saw but smaller in size. In this saw teeth are varies from 12to 19 per 25 cm. It is used for only carpentry works.
The saw nearly 200 mm long.
Bow saw.
This saw consist of a narrow blade between the long wooden frame the frames are up to 259to350 mm long
These saws are used for cutting quick curves and profiles.
Coping saw
This saw is used for cutting small radial curves. The blade tightens by screwing the handle. This type of saws is used in very fine works. The blade length is upto16 cm long.
Pitch: the teeth pitch varies from 1.5mm.

Keyhole saw
This keyhole saw is also the same as a compass saw. This reason is generally used for fine internal works only...
Compass saw
This saw consists of a tapered blade. this blade has a narrow and flexible structure. this type of saw is generally used to cut out the inside surface of the workpiece.
First of all, a hole bored inside the portion which to cut out the pointed compass saw is pushed into the hole.
This blade has contained 12 teeth per every 1 cm length.
